The above pictured house at 505 8th Avenue in Two Harbors, Minnesota was purchased by Mary Rosati and has been returned to its original state.  This house is a 1901 Craftsman style house from Montgomery Wards. At over 100 years old it is among the oldest buildings in Two Harbors.  The original trim and oak flooring have all been restored to their original luster.  The house is named the “B & B Whistlestop”.  The house carries a railroad motif throughout depicting the era of its origin that dates back to the old days when the railroad was the backbone of Two Harbors.

There are three floors to the house with two porches - one in the front and one in the back. On the first floor as you enter there is a welcoming foyer opening to the comfortable, inviting living room.  The living room opens into the formal dining room. There is a furnished, modern kitchen complete with a breakfast nook.  Guests are welcome to reserve the kitchen for preparing meals.

In the finished basement there is a cozy sitting room next to a single guest room called “The Coal Tender”. The laundry is complete with washer, dryer, and folding table for our guests to use.

There is a patio with a picnic table and chairs in the fenced in backyard - perfect for a family picnic or just enjoying the outdoors!
